The right entrance is not only important for you, but also for your cat or dog. In addition to our wide range of composites and UPVCs, there are options to make life for your pets more convenient.
Why should I get a catflap or pet door?
With one installed, it’s easier for your cat or dog to exit and re-enter when they need to, and you can also manage when they can exit.
Your pet can go outside without you leaving the door open
No need to worry about letting in the cold air, as your pet can come and go as necessary without you having to open the entrance door.
You can manage the egress of your pet
If you wish for your pet to remain inside at a certain time, simply lock the catflap/pet door at your convenience.
Keep unwanted cats or dogs out of your home
With manual-locking or microchip-activated functions, you needn’t be concerned about strays wandering into your home.
What is the difference between a catflap and a pet door?
Simple. The former is intended for cats, while the latter is used for dogs and cats of larger size. They both function in the same fashion, and there are manual- and microchip-operated options available for both.
Catflaps are intended for average sized cats
The PetSafe and glass-fitting Cat Mate manual catflaps are designed for use by a cat up to 16cm approx. in shoulder width, while the SureFlap microchip model is suited to a maximum of 14cm approx. For larger cats, a pet door can be used.
Pet doors can be used by larger cats, but are mainly for dogs
We offer two sizes for manual and a small option for microchip. For Fully Glazed UPVC doors a glass-fitting semi-large manual option is available, along with the SureFlap range.
For small dogs – and larger cats
Our manual small dog pet door and the SureFlap microchip pet door are both suitable for a pet with a maximum shoulder width of 18cm approx. These can also be used by larger sized cats, such as Maine Coons. Suitable for small dog breeds such as Chihuahuas, Yorkshire Terriers and Jack Russells.
For medium dogs
The manual PetSafe medium pet door is designed for dogs up to 21cm approx. shoulder width. Suitable for medium-sized breeds such as Beagles, Shelties and Miniature Schnauzers.
For semi-large dogs
Only available for our Fully Glazed UPVC and glazed side panels, this pet door caters to dogs up to 26cm in shoulder width. Suitable for semi-large breeds such as Border Collies and Labrador Retrievers.
What are my options for getting a catflap or pet door fitted?
Irrespective of your order type (Fully Fitted or Supply Only), we’ll fit the chosen option for you, so you won’t have to.
We’ll pre-fit it within certain door styles
Select contemporary and cottage composite and UPVC styles allow for the addition of a catflap or pet door, which we will fit for you regardless of whether you order Fully Fitted or Supply Only. Thus, you won’t need to worry about cutting a hole for installation as our warehouse will take care of the work for you.
We can also fit it within a side panel
If your favourite composite or UPVC door style does not offer the option for a catflap or pet door, we can fit one within a side panel if available.
We’ll install from our range or one that you provide us
Simply choose the model that interests you as you place the order for your new composite or UPVC door. We can also install a catflap/pet door that you have purchased, but please note:
- This must be in new condition, with its box
- It must be a model that we supply
What models of catflap or pet door do you offer?
The selection we offer covers a varied range of budgets and requirements. Both manual and microchip models are available for cats and small sized dogs, while pet doors for medium sized dogs only available as a manual option.
Manual
No batteries required. Locked and unlocked by hand.
For fitting within composites, UPVCs and solid side panels:
PetSafe Manual Catflap
Has a 4-way lock (fully unlocked, exit only, entry only, or fully locked). Available in white, or in brown to match woodgrain finishes.
PetSafe Manual Pet Door (for Small Dogs/Large Cats)
Includes the same 4-way lock mechanism. Designed for big cats and small-sized dog breeds. Only available in white.
PetSafe Manual Pet Door (for Medium Dogs)
Has a 2-way lock (locked/unlocked), and is designed for medium-sized dog breeds. Comes in white or brown.
For fitting within glass (side panels or Fully Glazed UPVC doors):
Cat Mate Manual Catflap
Designed to be fitted within glass. It has a 4-way locking system.
Pet-Tek Manual Pet Door (for Medium to Semi-Large Dogs)
Our largest pet door, which includes a 4-way locking system.
Microchip
Batteries required. Recognises your pet’s microchip. Stores up to 32 identities.
Suitable to be fitted within composite, UPVCs, side panels and glass
SureFlap Microchip Catflap
The basic microchip-activated model, compatible with common ID microchips or RFID tags. Available in white, brown or anthracite grey.
SureFlap DualScan Microchip Catflap
DualScan technology allows you to set different exit permissions for individual cats. Comes in white or brown.
SureFlap Microchip Pet Door
Designed specifically for small-sized dogs and large cats. Choose from white or brown.
SureFlap Connect Microchip Catflap
Works in conjunction with the SureFlap Hub and includes Dual Scan technology. You can lock or unlock it anytime using the Petcare app, and even receive notifications on your pet’s activities. There is also the option to set a curfew. Only comes in white.
SureFlap Connect Microchip Pet Door
The same as the standard SureFlap pet door, but also works in conjunction with the SureFlap Hub and Petcare App. In white only.
How do I choose the right one?
You'll need to measure your pet, and decide whether you need manual operation or microchip-activated functionality.
