Composite doors are referred to as such because they are made of composite (or 'a mixture of') materials to provide maximum efficiency, while UPVC doors (also known as PVCu doors) are made of unplasticised polyvinyl chloride where each door is moulded into shape and then unplasticised (turned from a soft sheet to a hard surface). Composite doors resemble wooden doors in that they have a grained wood like surface, whereas UPVC doors are generally cheaper and have a smooth surface, but both provide advantages over wooden doors.

Both our composite and UPVC doors are pre fitted with reliable Secured By Design locking systems, and pre hung with steel reinforced frames (aluminium in the case of Rock Doors), for added security as standard. They also include high performance weatherseals to keep out draught, and use glass with warm edge spacer bar technology to help reduce the amount of heat lost from indoors.

Furthermore, these doors are low maintenance in comparison to timber doors, being weather resistant (not prone to soaking like wood can) and not requiring repainting (whereas a painted wooden door can peel or chip in the sun or cold).

With these features and a wide selection of designs, a composite door or UPVC door would make a fine replacement to an external wooden door, or an good addition to a new build.

Our stable composite doors are versatile in that they can either operate as two seperate parts, each one with its own locking system, or as a single door, both sections joined together by a secure deadbolt.

Rock Doors hardly need an introduction, and we use doors from the Ultimate range for maximum security benefits, with glass sealed within each door using S-Glaze technology and German engineered hook locks pre fitted as standard.

Our UPVC external doors have a surface that never requires painting, and with energy saving features, such as high performance weatherseals and glass with warm edge spacer bar technology keeping out the cold and minimising heat loss, they are a cost effective choice. These doors are available in traditional/classical, contemporary/modern and cottage styles.

There are many styles to choose from, as well as numerous finish for the doors and frames, and select styles can also be pre fitted with one of our catflaps or pet doors (for dogs). These include Petsafe manual locking catflaps and pet doors, Cat Mate catflap and Pet-Tek glass pet door glass fitted options for Fully Glazed UPVC doors, and SureFlap microchip activated catflaps and pet doors, all of which come in white and some also available in brown (note that these catflaps and pet doors cannot be painted).
