UPVC Door Colours

UPVC Doors in different colours

A factor that can be as important as the functionality of a door is its appearance, not only with style but also with colour.

What are the advantages of coloured UPVC doors?

With their durability and a selection of opaque and woodgrain options, you can easily replace a wooden front or back door.

You won’t need to paint them

Unlike wood, there’s no need to repaint UPVC. Paint can crack and peel when exposed to the elements.

They’re easy to clean

Warm soapy water is all you need to wipe away dirt from a UPVC door, and there is no risk of washing away the colour as with a painted wooden door.

They’re weather resistant

External timber doors have a tough time in the face of British weather. UPVC is purposely designed to withstand the diverse climate. With a weatherproof skin, they won’t soak up rain and swell as wood can; and because they’re UV stable, they will resist fading and won’t peel or bubble in the sun.

Our colour foil is widely used

We use Renolit foils with our UPVC doors, which are common in many UPVC windows. Therefore, matching a door to the rest of the home should be little to no problem.

Should I replace my frame, toplight or side panels too?

Generally speaking, it’s a good idea to replace surrounds with UPVC to match the new door. In some cases, it’s not necessary but it is advised.

The frame must be replaced

The frame is integral to the functionality of the door, especially concerning security and insulation. For this reason, it needs to be replaced.

The toplight as well

Because toplights are affixed to the frame, these too would need to be replaced with UPVC in the event of a replacement door.

For a side panel, it depends – but it is recommended

Larger side panels that are joined by couplers can be left as they are. However, to keep your doorway looking uniform, it’s a good idea to have new UPVC side panels installed.

What colours are available for UPVC?

We offer 8 colour choices for our UPVC external doors and their frames, with a white frame also available with all colours. These include:

Opaque finishes

Flat finishes that can make a big difference to your home

• White - An all-round favourite that works with any style, be it classical or contemporary, without being overstated. It is favoured by customers as an inside colour since it keeps hallways looking bright.

• Black - Both modern and refined, black truly stands out and is perfect for adding contrast.

• Anthracite Grey - Popular as a choice for contemporary designs and offers a degree of formality.

• Agate Grey - A lighter shade of grey than anthracite, it is a less bold and calmer option.

• Chartwell Green - This pastel green can add a relaxing tone to your home.

Woodgrains

The same look as wood without the drawbacks

• Rosewood - A dark wood-like finish with a knotted effect, truly brings out the traditional quality of a classical style door.

• Golden Oak - A mid-tone woodgrain, golden oak is lighter and warmer than rosewood and looking similar to varnished wood.

• Irish Oak - The lightest of our three woodgrains, it has a softer and more raw wooden appearance than the other two.

Hardware options

To add to the look of your new door, we offer hardware such as handles, letterplates and knockers in a selection of finishes, including chrome, gold, black, white, graphite silver, antique black and stainless steel.
