The Dorset style composite back door is a Victorian inspired design four panel external door, with two vertical glass panels at the top and below them two solid panels. The door has a grained wood like surface, which is actually a glass reinforced plastic (or GRP for short) skin that's resistant to weather and easy to clean.

The Dorset composite back door comes in a wide range of colourful and grey tone finishes, from the soft duck egg blue to the dark aubergine (also known as plum), or the light silver grey to darker slate grey. The frame is available in standard white or matched to the finish of the door. The interior side of the door and frame can also be made to different finishes; however, the majority of our customers are content to leave these as white.

A chiefly traditional design, the Dorset composite back door works best in a classical style home, although with one of our modern glass designs it can look just as appealing in a contemporary style home. We offer a variety of double and triple glass designs, such as simple Box Lead, colourful Blue Sextet, the suitably named Zinc Art Elegance, or the modern clear edged Kensington. To accompany the double glass range, you have the option for a backing glass pattern, adding decoration or privacy to the glass, each one providing a different level of obscurity. These same backing glass choices are available for top lights, side panels or flag windows, should any of these be a part of your order.

The Dorset composite back door is thermally efficient, making use of warm edge spacer bar technology within the glass panels to help reduce internal heat loss, and high performance weatherseals to block out the cold.

We supply and fit composite back doors for homes across Britain, and what's more we don't take full payment beforehand (a deposit is required for orders over £3000) - so payment is completed after your new door has been installed.
