The Gwynedd composite back door is a modern style external door with a long hinge side glass panel and flat wood-like slab. While the Gwynedd composite back door looks like a standard timber door, this surface is in fact a GRP skin (or glass reinforced plastic for short). The Gwynedd is one of three such flat slabbed and long vertical glazed doors, the other two being the Argyll (glass on the handle side) and the Monmouth (glass in the centre).
The glass within the door is toughened to resist blunt force, and contains warm edge tech spacer bars to minimise internal heat loss. The glass can be paired with one of our backing glass designs, which not only add a decorative texture to the glass panel, but can also provide a level of privacy by obscuring viewing into your home. Side panels and toplights can similarly have one of these backing glass designs, or solid panels for greater obscurity.
High security features are included with this Gwynedd composite back door, including a steel reinforced frame, as well as a multi point locking system, which is Secured By Design and thus police-approved. This door is also pre-fitted with high performance weatherseals to keep out the cold and aid with insulation.
You can choose from a variety of finishes for the door itself, as well as for the frame, which alternatively comes in white as standard. Our composite doors have the advantage over timber doors of being easy to keep clean and being weather resistant, while wooden doors can be prone to dampening, as well as peeling when exposed to the elements.
With our full fiting service, we provide a free survey to get the right sizes for your new door. We also inform you if any changes are needed to your door spec as a result of the sizes, such as the addition of a side panel. Fitting of your new door is carried out with expert care, and we even dispose of the old door at no additional charge. Finally, we don't take full payment upfront - so you pay in full after installation of your new composite door.
