The Lothian style composite back door is one of our traditional external door styles, consisting of a half moon glass panel at the top, twin rectangular glass panels in the middle, and twin raised solid panels at the bottom. While this door may look like an average timber door, with a wood like surface, it actually has a GRP (glass reinforced plastic) skin that is weather resistant and easy to wipe clean.

This door style comes in a large selection of finishes, whether you need a soft colour like chartwell green or a bold finish like aubergine (also known as plum), a light grey like silver grey or something darker such as anthracite grey. The frame can be ordered in white or matched to the finish of the door. The same is true for the internal side of the door and frame, although the majority of customers are content to leave the inside as white. While our range of finishes will suit many tastes, should you require your door to be a specific paint colour, we do offer a bespoke colour service, using Dulux, RAL, British Standard and Farrow & Ball paint codes.

Our Lothian composite back doors are highly secure, having steel reinforcement within the frame, and a police approved Secured By Design multi point locking system as standard features.

To accompany this classical style Lothian door, you can choose from a variety of glass designs, from simple Box Lead to the aptly named Zinc Art Elegance. Double glazed designs can be paired with backing glass of various patterns and different levels of obscurity, and these backing glass patterns can also be applied to top lights and side panels, as well as flag windows.

Full prepayment is not necessary for fully fitted composite back doors (a deposit is required for orders exceeding £3000), so you won't pay in full until your door has been installed.
