Similar to the Illinois composite Rock Door, the Portland Rock Door has an indented and double embossed solid panel at the bottom, and arched glass above it, except that the Portland has a full width glass panel instead of twin glass panels. This Rock Door uses S-Glaze technology, so that the glass is sealed within the door as opposed to fitted between cassettes. The Portland's glass range includes plain glass, Box Lead and Diamond Lead, and the Art Deco inspired lead and frosted designs of Beacon and Horizon.
As with all composite Rock Doors, the Portland is thermally efficient. The glass is high energy rated to retain more heat indoors, inside of the door is further insulated with high density PU foam, and surrounding the door's edges are twin seal gasket weatherseals to block out external cold. The Portland also features an aluminium reinforced frame, rigid 44mm core, and German engineered Secured By Design hook locks for added protection to your home against would be intruders.
While the Portland has the appearance of a timber exterior door, with its grained surface, this is in fact a low maintenance 3mm UPVC skin. Colours, greys and woodgrains such as green, anthracite and light oak are finishes available for the Portland door, and the frame while white by default can also be colour matched to the door in most cases (red, green and blue are excluded).
For fully fitted doors, full payment is not taken until after fitting of your door (but orders over £3000 will require a deposit). A complimentary survey is included to get the right sizes for your door, and during installation everything is left tidy, with your older door taken away for disposal at no additional charge.
Placing your order for a new fully fitted composite Rock Door is simple, and should you have a question you can either phone us in 0800 910 1122 or send us a message via this link - Contact Us
