A modern style external door, the Hampton composite back door (or the Garda B3 as it is also known) has a flat slab with three central panels of glass - one vertical piece in the middle, and a smaller square piece each above and below it. The slab has a grained wood like GRP skin (which is short for glass reinforced plastic), which is easy to clean and weather resistant.
The Hampton composite back door is available in a wide variety of colours and grey tones, whether you're looking for a bold colour like poppy or soft cream, the dark aubergine (also called plum) or the light silver grey. The frame comes in white by default or can be matched to your new door. We can also paint your door and the frame to a bespoke finish, using Dulux, RAL, Farrow & Ball and British Standard paint codes. Similarly, the inside of the door and frame can be ordered in different finishes; however the majority of customers prefer to keep this as white.
Energy efficient, the Hampton composite back door is pre fitted with high performance weatherseals for effective insulation against the cold, as well as using warm edge spacer bar technology within the glass units to minimise internal heat loss.
The selection of glass designs available for Hampton composite back doors, in addition to plain double glass, include the triple glass designs of Zinc Art Abstract (with curved lines and small circular bevels), Zinc Art Elegance (with diamond cluster bevels), Zinc Prairie (and Art Deco inspired design with straight came lines and bevels), and Kensington (frosted glass with clear edges). Plain glass can be coupled with backing glass, consisting of sandblast and a range of patterns that provide decoration and obscurity to the glass units but still let through natural sunlight.
Our supply only composite back doors are made to size with every order, ensuring ease of fitting by trade and DIY customers.
