One of our traditional external doors, the Lothian composite back door (also known as the Chilton 3 style) is a five panel design - at the top of the slab is a half circle shape glass panel, in the middle are twin rectangular glass panels, and at the bottom are two rectangular solid concave panels. With the appearance of a classical wooden door, the door slab has a grained GRP skin (GRP is short for glass reinforced plastic), which is both weather resistant and easy to wipe clean when dirty.

Choose from a variety of colours and grey tones for the Lothian door, including standard blue, light dusk, bold poppy, and slate grey, with the frame available either in white or matched to the finish of your new composite back door. Should you require a specific paint colour, we offer a bespoke colour service for your Lothian composite back door (and the frame) using RAL, Dulux, Farrow & Ball and British Standard paint codes.

To tie in with the Lothian composite back door's traditional style, we have a selection of classical double and triple glass designs, such as the simple Box Lead, the etched and bevelled Green Cavana, and the aptly named Zinc Art Abstract. Our double glass designs can be paired with a backing glass pattern, ranging from the basic textured Stippolyte to the botanical Mayflower, each one providing a different level of obscurity, thus adding decoration and privacy to the glass.

The Lothian composite back door is energy efficient, pre fitted with high performance weatherseals to help insulate the property from external draught, and using warm edge spacer bar technology within the glass to cut down on the amount of heat that is lost from indoors.
